Shipping & Returns
As an independent small business, many of our products are made to order. During non peak seasons, our turnaround time for dispatch is 2-3 working days. During the festive periods dispatch times can be slightly longer.
We ship orders Monday through to Friday (excluding public holidays).
Order Processing & Dispatching
Australian Orders
Once carefully packaged, your order will be shipped with Australia Post. Regular post is usually received within 3 to 8 working days of dispatch, and parcel and express post within 2 working days of dispatch (depending upon location). Please select your preferred postage option during checkout.
Australia orders over $50 receive free standard postage.
By accepting our shipping terms and conditions, you consent to authorising the delivery personnel to leave your parcel in a secure location without requiring a signature. We are not liable for lost shipments or any delays caused by Australia Post, adverse weather or busy holiday periods.
International Orders
International orders are shipped via international air freight services. International order delivery times can vary depending on the relevant country's own postal system. These are usually delivered within 10 to 21 working days of postage, however some international orders can take up to (and sometimes over) a month to arrive.
Shipping cost depends on the size and weight of the package, as well as the location. This will automatically be calculated during the checkout process.
Please note: Any customs duties or import taxes imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the purchaser. The Letter Writer cannot be held liable for parcels that are returned, rejected, or destroyed due to unpaid taxes, duties, or fees on the part of the buyer.
International postage timeframes are offered as a guide only, and your location will determine postage timeframes.
Returns & Exchanges
Please choose your items carefully as refunds or exchanges are not permitted for change of mind purchases.
All orders are packaged with love and care, so the occurrence of transit damage or faulty items is very rare, but should it occur please contact us at hello@theletterwriter.com and we will minimise any inconvenience as best we can. Please include the order number in the subject. We will respond within 48 hours (Monday-Friday) with instructions on how and where to send your return.
To return faulty or damaged goods:
The item/items must be returned within 15 days of receipt.
The product(s) must be new, i.e. unused, undamaged, unsoiled, and in their original packaging and/or tags attached.
Email us at hello@theletterwriter.com with your name, invoice number, product name, and reason for return and request for replacement.
Customers are responsible for return postage. Please note that original shipping costs are not included in the refund total.
We advise you to obtain proof of postage in case your return parcel goes adrift on its way back to us. The Letter Writer can not be held responsible for any products lost/damaged in transit. If you do not obtain proof of postage, we reserve the right not to process the return or refund the product cost.
