General:

The Letter Writer is an Australian-based small business offering greeting cards and related goods for purchase online. By placing an order, you confirm that all details provided, including your name, address, and payment information, are accurate, complete, and belong to you.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Products & Availability:

Many of our products are made to order or produced in small batches. While we make every effort to ensure availability, there may be occasions where an item is unavailable after purchase.

If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you to arrange an alternative, backorder, or full refund.

Pricing & Currency:

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.

Prices are subject to change without notice.

Payments:

We accept secure payment methods as listed at checkout (including credit/debit cards and other supported providers).

Payment must be received in full before an order is processed or dispatched.

Shipping & Delivery:

Processing Times:
As an independent small business, many of our products are made to order. During non-peak periods, orders are typically dispatched within 2–3 business days. Dispatch times may be slightly longer during festive or high-volume periods. Orders are shipped Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Australian Shipments:
All Australian orders are shipped via Australia Post. Estimated delivery timeframes are as follows:
Regular Post: 3–8 business days from dispatch
Parcel or Express Post: Approximately 2 business days from dispatch (location dependent)
Australian orders over $50 AUD qualify for free standard shipping.
By placing an order, you authorise delivery personnel to leave your parcel in a secure location without requiring a signature. The Letter Writer is not liable for lost parcels or delays caused by Australia Post, weather conditions, or peak periods.

International Orders:
International orders are shipped via air freight services. Delivery timeframes vary depending on the destination country and its postal system. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on parcel size, weight, and destination. All delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.The Letter Writer is not responsible for delays caused by international postal services or customs processes.

Customs, Duties & Taxes:
International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by the destination country.
These charges are the responsibility of the customer. The Letter Writer is not liable for parcels that are returned, rejected, or destroyed due to unpaid customs charges.

Shipping Address Responsibility:
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all shipping details provided are accurate. If an incorrect or incomplete address is supplied:

We are not responsible for lost or misdelivered parcels
Additional shipping fees will apply for redelivery if the parcel is returned
Refunds will not be issued for parcels that cannot be recovered

Failed Deliveries:
In the instance that a buyer submits an incorrect undeliverable address, or provides an incorrect address that gets accepted by someone other then themselves, or fails to collect their parcel from their post office within suitable time, this is an error on the buyers behalf.

In these instances, if your parcel is returned back to us, it is the buyers responsibility to pay any onward shipping fees to have the parcel resent or sent to an amended address. In the instance that your parcel is unable to be returned to us, you will not qualify for a refund.

Returns, Exchanges & Cancellations:

Change of Mind:
Please choose carefully. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind purchases.
Orders cannot be cancelled or modified once they have been placed.

Faulty or Damaged Items:
All orders are carefully packaged; however, if an item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us at hello@asd.com.au within a reasonable timeframe. Please include your order number in the subject line. We aim to respond within 48 hours (Monday–Friday) with return instructions.

To be eligible for a return:

Items must be returned within 15 days of receipt
Items must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging with any tags attached
Customers are responsible for return postage costs. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

We strongly recommend obtaining proof of postage, as The Letter Writer is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit. Returns without proof of postage may not be processed.

Discounts & Promotions:

Promotional codes cannot be used in conjunction with other offers. Promotional codes must be applied at checkout and cannot be added retrospectively.
Discounts and promotions are not redeemable for cash.
Gift cards may be used alongside valid promotions unless otherwise specified.

Intellectual Property & Use:

All designs, artwork curation, and written content remain the property of The Letter Writer.

Products are intended for personal use only and may not be reproduced, resold, or used commercially without prior written permission.

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms & Conditions by reference. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data.
